Overview
In this episode, Mats shares the history of the Business as Mission (BAM) Global Movement. He and Lauren discuss why business is an authentic way to connect across cultures, how business has been used to unethically enter different countries, and what the future of the BAM Movement entails. From human trafficking to economic justice, this conversations tackles the why behind Business as a form of Mission.
“In many Christian contexts, we make distinction, a separation between worship is what I do on Sunday, and work is what I do on Monday through Friday.”
“So, wealth creation is not for us to get rich, it is for us to create different kinds of wealth so people and nations can flourish in a global scale.”
“Business as Mission is not just transactional, it’s incarnational, because we are the witnesses, as we do business in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
